The Fee (Foundation for Environmental Education) has awarded Fasano and its beaches (including the Savelletri -Torrecanne coast) the Blue Flag 2011.
It is a recognition given, under strict controls, for water, coasts, services, safety measures and environmental education quality.
Fasano is one of eight Apulian coastal resorts which was awarded the Blue Flag.
